About Us
Meet The Owner
Tom Kane has spent over 2 decades working in the wood products industry. He graduated from St.
Lawrence University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Geology. He continued
his education and received a Master’s degree in Forestry and Natural Resource Management from the State
University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry in 2003.
He was hired right out of school as a procurement forester for a large sawmill in the Southern Tier of New
York, where he spent the first 8 years of his career. He was then hired as the Head of Procurement for a
sawmill in Central New York where he worked for over a decade. While there, he founded Forest Integrity
Timber Services.

Forest Integrity Timber Services eventually
became his full-time job. With Forest Integrity, he helps landowners maintain healthy, productive, profitable woods on their properties. In 20+ years on the job, Tom has walked over 20,000 miles through thousands of landowner’s woods in Upstate New York while helping over 1000 landowners manage their woods sustainably. Tom is a member of the Society of American Foresters and the Association of Consulting Foresters. He is a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Cooperating Forester, a New York City Watershed Qualified Forester, and a Certified Tree Farm Inspector. Tom is sponsored by the Audubon Society and was featured in Marquis’ Who's Who in America in 2023.
